It reminds me of the town we spent this night in in Germany years and years ago.

Lansdowne Road
599 10th Ave New York, NY 10036
Lansdowne Road is one of the best sports bars I’ve been to! The walls are coated with signs from all over the country and really shows how this bar is an intersection for the country - you won’t just find New York games here!
I sat in the spacious back area with a large group of friends. Here, we were surrounded on all sides with big TVs - not those 24’ ones! As we ordered our drinks (no fancy mixed drinks here - keeping it plain and simple), we decided on some boneless buffalo balls (mild, medium, and hot) and a couple heaping orders of the nachos. The buffalo balls were fun to snack on, but nothing amazing - the nachos, however were top-notch for as far as my bar food experience has been. They were surprisingly fresh and I kept thinking about the black beans even after they were gone!
The service was excellent - dealing with our large order and cleaning up after us quickly and efficiently - and the staff is incredibly friendly. I’ll be back again, for sure.

I don’t even watch sports that often, but I showed up for this Google event and had a blast. The Mets, Knicks, and Ranger all won that night.

Action Burger
292 Graham Ave Brooklyn, NY 11211
Action Burger is a really fun place to go when you’re in the mood for a spiced-up burger! The inside is really great - filled with comic books, action figures, arcade cabinets, and more. The menu is all super villain/hero themed with a bunch of choices.
I went for the namesake on my first visit - the action burger - and got it topped with just lettuce and tomato; keeping it simple to taste the burger! The meat was pretty good, and had a bunch of spices on it. At first I was apprehensive about the spices but they really grew on me. I’m definitely looking back to testing the other choices at this spot in the future.
——-
I think the arcade cabinets were free-to-play; I should have checked. Either way, the burger was different than usual, with 10 different spices (and the super action burger supposedly has even more!), but definitely a good bite.

Momofuku Milk Bar
251 E 13th St New York, NY 10003
Whenever I’m down by Momofuku, I try to convince myself I’m not going to buy a treat, but this is one place that is hard to resist! The crack pie is my staple sweet, but the candybar pie and cake balls are my runner-ups. I’m not a huge fan of milk but I’ve tasted the cereal milk jug once and I was surprised at how authentic it tasted - I might actually buy it in the future (or go ahead and try the fruity milk jug)!
Overall, the staff is very friendly and the service is fast. There is just a little standing room and a small bench outside so don’t expect to stay for too long.

I still have yet to try the other Momofuku restaurants. I hear the Noodle Bar is particularly good.
Came back from the event today with a Google soccer ball.
Let’s do a swag roll-call:
- Soccer ball & pump
- Umbrella
- Touchscreen gloves
- Stickers
- Tumbler
- Pint glass
Hrm… not quite enough to satisfy me…
